Abstract
The aim of our study is to carry out a mobility test of the duodenum zone in its inspiration and expiration parameters on 41 heterogeneous (sick or non sick) subjects in order to analyse agrement degree between two fifth year examiners of the Swiss Osteopathy School (E.S.O.).
Four different diagnosis are possible : diagnosised zone in expiration, inspiration lesion, paralised zone or free zone. The results are transfered on prepared forms. Reliability was calculated with Kappa statistics.

Reliability was not better than chance alone (K=0.045). Lack of experience of the examiners, difficulty to reproduce the same gesture and difficulty to determine the cut-off point between positive and negative results could explain why results appear useless for clinical use.

This study brings us to reconsider the capacity of such tests to formulate a diagnosis. Further studies have to be undertaken to justify the use visceral tests to detect abnormal situations.
