- Abstract
- This study seeks to establish whether there is a relationship between tension headache and liver dysfunction, to present pumping liver has a tool to treat this condition. To do an extensive literature review on the pathophysiology of TTH is performed and is related to liver physiology, plus extensive research in reliable databases to uncover what is researched on the subject to this day . It has raised a clinical trial to reveal if there is statistical significance between a group treated by hepatic pumping and one treated with placebo ultrasound technique as offline . A sample of 60 subjects aged between 18 and 57 years , as a representation of the population exposed to suffer tension headache in the population where the study was performed is used . The results indicate that 46.67 % of subjects treated with the technique of pumping improve liver versus 40 % of those treated with U.S. Although obtaining a slightly positive , the result of Chi - square test gives P = 0.8 value, indicating no statistical significance between treatment by pumping liver and decreased intensity and / or frequency of tension headaches
- Abstract
- Este estudio pretende comprobar si existe una relación entre la cefalea tensional y la disfunción hepática, para presentar el bombeo de hígado como una herramienta para tratar esta patología. Para ello se realiza una amplia revisión bibliográfica sobre la fisiopatología de la cefalea tensional y se relaciona con la fisiología hepática, además de una amplia investigación en bases de datos fiables para desvelar lo que hay investigado sobre el tema hasta el día de hoy. Se ha planteado un ensayo clínico para desvelar si existe significación estadística entre un grupo tratado mediante bombeo hepático y uno tratado con ultrasonido desconectado como técnica placebo. Se emplea una muestra de 60 sujetos con edades comprendidas entre 18 y 57 años, como representación de la población expuesta a padecer cefalea tensional en la población donde se ha realizado el estudio. Los resultados indican que un 46,67% de los sujetos tratados con la técnica de bombeo hepático mejoran frente a un 40% de los tratados con US. Aun obteniendo unos resultados ligeramente positivos, el resultado de prueba Chi-Cuadrado da un valor P=0,8 indicando que no existe significación estadística entre tratamiento mediante bombeo hepático y disminución de la intensidad y/o frecuencia de la cefalea tensional.
