- Abstract
- Spondylolisthesis is the sliding of one vertebra on another. The proposed conservative treatment by conventional medicine consist to do a physiotherapy treatment, based on the reduction of symptoms and postural correction by strengthening exercises. The goal of this work will be to apply, as a therapeutic measure for spondylolisthesis, the osteopathic treatment based on improving the functionality of the pelvic-hip-lumbar complex, thinking that in this way, that will help to the rest of the column to increase the effectiveness of its curves function, in the absorption and dissipation of the received charge. That will help to reduce the tension at the lesional area. This approach was applied in the case of a patient, an elite athlete of high diving, diagnosed with a spondylolisthesis of L4, as well as disc protrusion in the levels of L2 to L5 and LumboSacral transitional anomaly. To demonstrate the evolution of the patient were used following assessment tests: EVA, Schöber, Sorensen and muscle strength evaluation

- La Espondilolistesis es el desplazamiento de una vértebra sobre otra. El tratamiento conservador propuesto por la medicina convencional consiste en realizar un tratamiento de fisioterapia basado en la reducción de la sintomatología y a la corrección postural mediante ejercicios de fortalecimiento. El objetivo de este trabajo será aplicar, como medida terapéutica para la Espondilolistesis, un tratamiento osteopático basado en mejorar la funcionalidad del complejo pelvis-cadera-lumbar, pensando que, de esta manera, se ayudará al resto de la columna a aumentar la efectividad de la función de sus curvas en la absorción y disipación de las cargas recibidas, ayudando así a que la zona lesional reduzca la tensión a la que está sometida. Este planteamiento se aplicó en el caso clínico de una paciente, deportista de élite saltadora de trampolín, diagnosticada con una Espondilolistesis de L4 además de profusiones discales en los niveles de L2 a L5 y una anomalía de transición Lumbo-Sacral. Para demostrar la evolución de la paciente se utilizaron los tests de valoración siguientes: EVA, Schöber, Sorensen y test de fuerza muscular.
