de Einleitung: Die Untersuchung des sacrococcygealen
Übergangs ist ein wichtiger Bestandteil der osteopathischen Praxis. Ziel
vorliegender Arbeit ist es, die Interrater Reliabilität der Palpation des Os
Coccygis im Sitz zu ermitteln.

Methodik: 43 gesunde Personen
wurden in die Studie eingeschlossen (m=17, w=26). Zwei Osteopathinnen testeten
die passive Beweglichkeit des Os Coccygis im Sitz, sowie hierbei auftretenden
Schmerz. Beurteilt wurden Mobilität und Schmerz in der Sagittal- und
Frontalebene: Flexion, Extension, Lateralflexion links und Lateralflexion
rechts. Jede der Bewegungsrichtungen wurde nach Palpation als mobil oder
hypomobil, sowie als schmerzhaft oder nicht schmerzhaft eingestuft. Mittels
Cohen´s Kappa- Koeffizienten (k) wurde die Interrater- Reliabilität für die
gesamte Stichprobe und die Untergruppen der symptomatischen und
asymptomatischen ProbandInnen errechnet.

Ergebnisse: Die Reliabilität hinsichtlich
Mobilität/ Schmerz für die Stichprobe (n=43) lautet wie folgt: Flex: k=0,38/
k=0,32; Ext: k= 0,15/ k=0,53; LF links: k= 0,42/ k=0,18; LF rechts: k= -0,01/
k= 0,37. Die Reliabilität betreffend Mobilität/ Schmerz für die Untergruppe
der symptomatischen ProbandInnen (n=15) lautet indes: Flex: k= 0,76/ k=
0,44; Ext: k= 0,63/ k=1; LF links: k= 0,81/ k=0,66; LF rechts: k= -0,22/ k= -0,1.

Schlussfolgerung: Es
kann keine generelle Empfehlung für die Verwendbarkeit der Testung gegeben werden
(k<0,6). Bei Betrachtung der Subgruppenanalyse kann die gute Übereinstimmung
der Ergebnisse mit k>0,6 bei Beurteilung von Mobilität in Flexion, Extension
und Lateralflexion links, sowie Beurteilung von Schmerz bei Extension und
Lateralflexion links der symptomatischen Stichprobe (n=15) betont werden.
Zukünftige Untersuchungen mit größeren Stichproben sind notwendig, um dieses
Ergebnis zu prüfen.

Abstract
en Introduction: The examination of the
sacrococcygeal joint is an important part of osteopathic practice. The aim of
this master's thesis is to determine the inter-rater reliability of palpating
the os coccygis in the sitting position.

Methods: 43 healthy individuals were included in the
study (m=17, f=26). Two osteopaths examined the passive motion of the os
coccygis in the sitting position, as well as any occurring pain. Mobility and
pain were assessed in the sagittal and frontal planes: flexion, extension,
lateral flexion on the left and lateral flexion on the right. After palpation,
each direction of movement was categorised as mobile or hypomobile and as
painful or non-painful. Cohen's kappa coefficients (k) were used to calculate
the inter-rater reliability for the entire sample and the subgroups of
symptomatic and asymptomatic subjects.

Results: The reliability regarding mobility/pain for the
entire sample (n=43) is: flex: k=0.38/ k=0.32; ext: k= 0.15/ k=0.53; left
lat flex: k= 0.42/ k=0.18; right lat flex: k= -0.01/ k= 0.37. However, the
reliability values for the symptomatic subgroup (n=15) are: flex: k= 0.76/
k= 0.44; ext: k= 0.63 / k=1; left lat flex: k= 0.81/ k=0.66; right lat flex: k=
-0.22/ k= -0.1.

Conclusion: No general recommendation can be given for the
usability of the test (k<0.6). However, the subgroup analysis highlights
strong agreement (k>0.6) in the symptomatic group (n=15) for evaluating
mobility in flexion, extension, and left lateral flexion, as well as for pain
assessment in extension and left lateral flexion. Further studies with larger
sample sizes are required to confirm these results.
