Neer defined Subacromial impingement syndrome. The purpose of this
study was to assess the influence that the technique of diaphragmatic
Inhibition (Group 1) and the pinch roll on the levator scapulae (Group II)
have on the outcome of the Neer test.
Method: a total of 19 patients were randomly distributed on a treatment
group. Each patient received a total of three treatments and goniometric
evaluation and pain degree assessment was performed before and after
each treatment.
Results: A total of 17 patients finished. In both groups there was an
increase in the goniometric evaluation, being Group I 25 ± 15.81 and
Group II 25.5 ±18.33 with p> 0.05 with a decrease of the pain degree in
Group I of .34 ± 1’78 and Group II of 2.23 ± 1.58 with p>0.05
Conclusions: The number of patients not allowed to conduct a parametric
study, results were obtained with p> 0:05 and high dispersion, indicating
that the study was not conclusive regarding the effectiveness of the
techniques. - Abstract

El síndrome de pinçament subacromial va ser definit per Neer. La finalitat
d’aquest projecte va ser valorar la influència que la tècnica d’inhibició
diafragmàtica (Grup I) i la pinça rodada sobre l’elevador de l’escàpula
(Grup II) tenen sobre el resultat del Test de Neer.
Mètode: Un total de 19 pacients van ser aleatòriament distribuïts en un
dels 2 grups de tractament. Cada pacient va rebre un total de 3
tractaments i es va realitzar una valoració goniomètrica i del grau de dolor
abans i després de cada tractament.
Resultats: Van finalitzar un total de 17 pacients. En ambdós grups es va
observar un augment de la goniometria, sent en el Grup I de 25 ± 15.81 i
en el Grup II de 25.5 ±18.33 amb p> 0.05 i una disminució del dolor en el
Grup I de 1.34 ± 1’78 i en el Grup II de 2.23 ± 1.58 amb p>0.05.
Conclusions: El nombre de pacients no va permetre realitzar un estudi
paramètric, s’han obtingut uns resultats amb una p>0.05 i una dispersió
alta, que indiquen que l’estudi no ha estat concloent respecte l’eficàcia de
les tècniques. - presented at
