Objectives:
The objective was check the effect of application osteopathy techniques that seek the homeostasis, over the glucemy and insulinemia of diabetic patients type II.
Patient, material and method:
The study was exploratory, random-like with MONOVA analysis. The casuistic was composed by 32 diabetes carrier patients type II, divided at random into two groups of 17 patients in the treated group and 15 patients in the control group. The group 1 received treatment with osteopathy techniques during a session of around 40 minutes, being considered treated group (TG), the group 2 received placebo treatment, being considered control group (CG).
Resulted:
The analyses of laboratorial exam results showed that there was a meaningful statistical change in the rates of glucemy and plasmatic insulin.
Conclusions:
Comparing the two groups (treated and control) it was concluded that there were some changes, mainly in the glucemy of the treated group in relation to the control. The modifications are significant as much of the glucemy as insulin. - Abstract

Propósito:
Verificar el efecto de la aplicación de técnicas osteopáticas que buscan la homeostasis en la glucemia y la insulinemia en pacientes diabéticos del tipo II.
Pacientes, material y método:
El estudio es un ensayo experimental aleatorizado simple sin ciego con análisis MANOVA. La muestra se constituyó de 32 pacientes portadores de diabetes del tipo II, divididos en dos grupos con 17 pacientes en el grupo tratado y 15 pacientes en el grupo control. El grupo 1 ha recibido tratamiento osteopático por cerca de 40 minutos, siendo considerado grupo tratado (GT); el grupo 2 ha recibido tratamiento placebo, siendo considerado grupo control (GC).
Resultados:
El análisis de los resultados de los exámenes de laboratorio mostró que había cambio estadísticamente significativo en la glucemia e insulina plasmática.
Conclusión:
Comparándose los dos grupos (tratado y control) se concluyó que había modificaciones, principalmente en la glucemia del grupo tratado en relación al control. Las modificaciones son significativas tanto de la glucemia como de la insulina. - presented at
