Abstract
Objectives.

Due to the fact that there are so few studies relating the osteopathic treatments about pancreas and their repercussions, I decided to pursue an investigation about something not difficult to find: a diabetic patient and dorsal manipulation.

Material and method.

With this aleatory experimental clinical study with ANOVA analysis, we try to evaluate the effects of D6 manipulation on the glucemia index for diabetics.
In order to undertake this study we have taken samples from 100 people from both genders, aged between 20 and 85, who suffer from mellitus diabetes. These 100 patients have been randomly divided into two groups, leading to an experimental group upon which we will make the D6 vertebral manipulation and a control group upon which we will make a placebo technique, assuring that none of the techniques has an influence on the results obtained.
We have chosen the arterial tension and glucemia index as indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of our study. The glucemia index has been measured before the intervention and 5, 30, 60 and 120 minutes after it. The same measures have been monitored in the control group. All these data have been registered.
Results.

The data obtained after these measurements are taken to statistical analysis after the end of the sampling. The software program Statgraphics Plus 5.0 has been used for this analysis and the results show in both groups a decrease in the glucemia index from the pre-manipulation to the different post-manipulation samplings.

Conclusions.

This difference has been greater in the experimental group, although the results are non significative data from the statistical point of view at a confidence level of 95%.
The ANOVA test determines at a confidence level of 75% the relationship between decrease in the glucemia index and age.
Abstract
Objectivos:

Debido a los pocos estudios encontrados que relacionen los tratamientos osteopáticos sobre el páncreas y sus repercusiones hemos decidimos empezar a investigar algo que no es infrecuente encontrar: un paciente diabético y una manipulación dorsal.

Material y metodo:

Con este estudio clínico experimental aleatorizado simple sin ciego con análisis ANOVA pretendemos valorar los efectos de la manipulación de D6 sobre la cifra de glucemia en pacientes diabéticos.
Para la realización de este estudio hemos tomado una muestra de 100 individuos, de ambos sexos, con edades comprendidas entre los 20 y los 85 años de edad y que presentan diabetes mellitus. Estos 100 pacientes se han dividido en dos grupos de forma aleatoria, formando un grupo experimental sobre el que hemos realizado la manipulación vertebral de D6 y un grupo control sobre el que hemos aplicado una técnica placebo pero en ningún caso ninguna técnica que haya podido influir en los resultados obtenidos.
Hemos tomado como indicadores para valorar la efectividad de nuestra actuación la tensión arterial y la cifra de glucemia. Ésta última se ha medido antes de la intervención y a los 5, 30, 60 y 120 minutos tras la intervención. Las mismas medidas se han tomado en el grupo control. Todos estos datos se han registrado en una hoja.
Los datos obtenidos tras estas mediciones han sido sometidos tras el fin de la muestra a análisis estadístico.
Resultados:
Para dicho análisis se ha utilizado el programa informático Statgraphics Plus 5.0 y los resultados nos revelan que en ambos grupos ha habido una disminución en la cifra de glucemia desde la toma pre-manipulación a las diferentes tomas post-manipulación.

Conclusiones:

Esta diferencia ha sido más acusada en el grupo experimental aunque los resultados son cifras estadísticamente no significativas para un nivel de confianza del 95%.
El test ANOVA determina, para un nivel de confianza del 75%, relaciones entre la bajada de la cifra de glucemia y la edad.
